Orion offers group classes as well as private lessons with any of our coaches. We have classes for all three weapons used in modern fencing (Foil, Epee, and Sabre) and for all skill levels. Our youngest student is 3 years old and our eldest student is 93 years old. It is no exaggeration to say that we believe Fencing is for EVERYONE.
We believe this so strongly that every student is invited to attend their first fencing class free of charge.

Our classes are offered on a recurring weekly basis. We have different classes for different skill levels and age groups. Youth classes are for ages 6 to 12. Beginner classes are for ages 12 to 20. Students over 20 years of age are encouraged to attend Adult classes regardless of skill level.

InTroduction to Fencing
8-week Course
The Intro Course is an 8-week series for beginner fencers. This class is all ages and 2 new sessions begin every month. In weeks 1-5 students focus on Foil fundamentals, weeks 6-7 introduce Sabre and Epee, and week 8 introduces Electric Foil and bouting etiquette. Curious about fencing? Attend the first session of any Intro course at no charge. Please arrive 10 minutes before the class start time to fill out the waiver. The Complete Introduction to Fencing Course is $165.

Pricing ranges from $200 - $250 per week. Discounts are available for Orion Fencing members and siblings.

Weekly Class
and Lesson Pricing
We do not require fencers to purchase any gear to attend classes. Students are welcome to use club gear for classes. Monthly memberships are based on number of session attended per week, and start at $85 per month for one session per week. A session is either a weapon specific class or a private lesson. We need at least 48 hours notice to book a private lesson.
We offer a family discount for families with more than one fencer. The fencer who takes the most classes in any given family will pay full price, while all other children, parents, or siblings will receive a 20% discount on their tuition.
Drop in rate for a non-member, to a regularly scheduled class is $35 per fencer per night.
Free Demo Lesson
We offer new students a free private lesson and demonstration before asking for any commitment to the program. Reach out to demo@OrionFencing.org or call us at 360-254-5999 to schedule a free demo lesson. New students need to arrive in clothing that they can freely move in, and we will provide all necessary gear for the lesson. To save time upon arrival and get right into the lesson, we encourage students to print and fill out this form before arriving for the lesson.
WHAT IS OUR CANCELATION AND MISSED CLASS POLICY
Absences can be made up by attending a different class during the week of the missed class or by doubling up (taking a second class) a different week. Absences do not accumulate to become a free month. It is the responsibility of the student to arrange to make up missed classes.
Make-ups must be used within a week before a planned absence or within 2-weeks after the absence. If a student does not contact Orion regarding the absence to schedule a make-up within that time frame make-ups will not be granted.
